About
West Stormont Woodland Group is a Community Association formed with the specific aim of bringing Taymount Wood and Five Mile Wood into Community Ownership. West Stormont was the name used in medieval times to cover the parishes of Auchtergaven, Kinclaven, Logiealmond, Moneydie, Redgorton (Stanley) and the Murthly portion of Little Dunkeld. West Stormont has been chosen as the most suitably inclusive title for the many communities connected to Taymount and Five Mile Woods today.

Our Mission
We have a single Mission which is "To provide both woods with a long term sustainable future as a community resource and a vital part of our local environment." Many other communities have been successful in similar projects. With your help, we can also succeed. As either a full or an associate member of WSWG you can be fully involved in helping to achieve our Mission. There are plenty of opportunities to help and to play an active part in the WSWG project as best as you can. A few of these opportunities are shown in our Membership Application Form.
